Exhaust Hood Safety
Do not store items of interest to children in closet above the range or on top of range
closet. Children climbing on range to reach items could be seriously injured.
1. Cleanexhausthoodfrequently—greaseshouldnotbeallowedtoaccumulateonhoodorlter.
2. Iffoodscatchreunderthehood,turnthefanoff.Thefan,ifoperatingmayspreadtheame.
Radiant Top Burner Safety: Do not touch surface units or areas near units.
Surfaceunitsmaybehoteventhoughtheyareconcealed.Duringandafteruse,donottouch,orletclothingorother
ammablematerialscontactsurfaceunitsorareasnearunitsuntiltheyhavehadsufcienttimetocool.Alwayskeep
dishtowels,cloths,potholdersandotherlinensasafedistanceawayfromcooktop.
- Cooktopsurfacesneartheelementsincreaseintemperature,withthenumberofelementsthatareon.Areas near
surface units may become hot enough to cause burns.Alwayskeepcombustiblewallcoverings,curtainsordrapes
asafedistanceawayfromappliance.
- Useproperpansize—thisapplianceisequippedwithoneormoresurfaceunitsofdifferentsizes.Selectutensilshaving
atbottomslargeenoughtocoverthesurfaceunit-heatingelement.Theuseofundersizedutensilswillexposeaportion

- Glassandceramiccookwareisnotrecommendedforusewithyourradiantsmoothcooktopastheymaybreakdueto
thesuddenchangeintemperature.
- Utensilhandlesshouldbeturnedinwardandnotextendoveradjacentsurfaceunits—toreducetheriskofburns,ignition
ofammablematerials,andspillageduetounintentionalcontactwiththeutensil.
