Cleaning the drain pump and
non-return valve
If the water has not been pumped away
at the end of a program, the drain pump
or the non-return valve might be
blocked. They are, however, easy to
clean.
ĺ Turn off the dishwasher and pull the
plug.
ĺ Take the filter system out of the wash
cabinet (see "Cleaning and care -
Cleaning the filters").
ĺ Scoop the water out of the cabinet
using a suitable container or utensil.
ĺ Press the catch for the non-return
valve inwards Ȧ.
ĺ Lift the non-return valve up and out
ȧ and rinse well under running water.
ĺ Remove all foreign objects from the
non-return valve.
The drain pump is beneath the non-re‐
turn valve (see arrow).
ĺ Remove all foreign objects from the
drain pump (glass or bone splinters).
Before returning the non-return
valve, check that the drain pump is
not blocked. Spin the propeller sever‐
al times in both directions to check
for obstructions.
ĺ Carefully reinsert the non-return valve
and secure it with the locking clamp.
ɘ Make sure the locking clamp
clicks into place!
ɘ Be careful not to damage any
delicate components when cleaning
the drain pump and the non-return
valve.
