Turning the Burner off Turn knob clockwise to the OFF position.
Note: a “pop” may be heard when the burner is turned off. The “pop” may be
louder with LP gas than with natural gas. This is normal.
This section explains how to operate the oven. See “Getting the Most Out of Your
Oven” on page 17 for guidelines to improve oven results.
About the Oven
Operation
CAUTION
Do not use aluminum foil or protective liners to line any part of an appli-
ance, especially surface unit drip bowls or oven bottom. Installation of
these liners may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
Setting the Cooking Mode
and Temperature
Note: To back out of a current mode, press OFF. (Selecting OFF when not setting
the cooking mode will turn the oven off.)
1. Press BAKE or BROIL.
The selected mode appears in the display and
the default temperature flashes.
2. To select a different temperature, turn knob to the right or left (in 5° incre-
ments) to desired temperature.
Note: To select the warm or proof functions, turn the knob to the left past 200° F.
3. Press START.
The display alternates between the cooking mode and preheat. The preheated
temperature is displayed, starting at 100ºF. The actual temperature increases
until set temperature is reached, at which point the oven will beep.
Changing temperature during cook-
ing
1. Press BAKE or BROIL.
2. Turn the knob to select new temperature
3. Press START.
Turning off the oven 1. Press OFF.
Hot Oven Indicator After the oven has been turned off, HOT appears in the display where the cooking
mode was to indicate that the oven is off but still hot. When the oven temperature
drops below 176° F, HOT is no longer seen in the display.
