To avoid fuelling any flames, do not open the door if smoke
occurs inside the microwave oven.
Interrupt the process by switching the appliance off and disconnect
it from the mains electricity supply. Do not open the door until the
smoke has dispersed.

Oil and fat can overheat and catch fire. Do not leave the
appliance unattended when cooking with oil or fat. Do not use the
appliance to fry food. If oil or fat does catch fire, do not attempt to
put out the flames with water. Disconnect the appliance from the
mains electricity supply and leave the door closed to smother the
flames.

Due to the high temperatures radiated, objects left near the
microwave oven when it is in use could catch fire. Do not use the
appliance to heat up the room.

If using alcohol in your recipes, please be aware that high
temperatures can cause the alcohol to vaporise and even to ignite
on hot surfaces. Do not heat undiluted alcohol in the appliance. Fire
hazard.
