· The grill pan grid is reversible. This is useful if
you want to cook foods of varying thicknesses.
As a general rule, bread for toasting should be
placed on the grid in the 'high' position in the grill
pan. Foods such as chicken pieces or chops
may be grilled using the grilling grid in the low
position.
· Food should be thoroughly dried before grilling to
minimise splashing. Brush lean meats and fish
lightly with a little oil or melted butter to keep
them moist during cooking.
· Accompaniments such as tomatoes and
mushrooms may be placed underneath the grid
when grilling meats.
· The food should be turned over during cooking
as required.
· The grill door must be left open when grilling.
For convenience the grill door can be left ajar.
· Preheat the grill on full setting for a few minutes
before sealing steaks or toasting. Adjust the heat
setting and the shelf position as necessary during
cooking.
