44 Voice Commands
Using voice commands
1. Press to initiate voice commands.
You will hear a voice prompt,
"Say a Command".
2. Say a command and then follow the voice
prompts.

Contact <Name> - allows you to make a
voice command call to a recipient that is
in your voice dial list.

Dial Number <Number>- allows you to
make a call by speaking the digits of a
phone number.

<Shortcut Name> - provides a shortcut to
menu items.

Find Contact - allows you to find a contact
from your voice dial list.
Note: If the phone does not recognize your
voice see “Training voice recognition” on
page 47.
Call a contact using the contact name
command
1. If you haven’t already done so, add the person
you wish to call to the Voice Dial List see
“Adding a contact to your voice dial list” on
page 43.
2. From the home screen, press . The phone
responds: “Say a command.”
3. Say “Contact” and then the name of the person
you want to call.
Note: The phone responds, “Please repeat”
or “Say a name” if it does not recognize the
name. If the name you spoke matches a
contact in the Voice Dial List, the phone
responds: “Name, correct?” Say Yes to make
the call, No to select a similar name, or Cancel
to cancel the phone call.
Note: If the phone finds multiple voice tags
that sound like the name you said, the phone
will list the names, you will be asked to verify
which name you want to call. Say
Yes when
you hear the correct name. Say
No when you
hear an incorrect name.
4. Press to end the call.
Call a contact using the dial number
command
When using digit dialing, you speak digits to dial a
phone number.
1. From the home screen, press . The phone
responds: “Say a command.”
2. Say “Dial Number” and then speak the digits of
the phone number you want to call. If you
pause, the phone will prompt you to “Say a
number”.
The phone responds: “Did you say
(Number)”.
3. Say,
– Yes to connect.
–
No to select a similar name.
–
Cancel to cancel the search.
