Miele CVA 620 Coffeemaker User Manual

N.B.: To ensure the machine functions correctly, it
is essential that you maintain and clean it as
instructed in these operating instructions and in
the video supplied with your machine using the
cleaning/descaling agents supplied by Miele.
Failure to do so can result in poor quality coffee,
bacterial contamination and in extreme cases
can lead to malfunction of the machine.
Danger - always allow the machine to cool down
before cleaning. Danger of scalding.
Do not clean the machine with a steam cleaner to
avoid the risk of damage to the machine.
Never use cleaners containing chlorides, sand,
soda or scouring agents. These would damage
the surface.
It is important to clean the machine regularly, as the
used coffee grounds will soon go mouldy.
With the exception of the brew unit and the water
container all removable accessories are dishwasher
proof. Please be aware that discolouration can
occur to plastic components if they are washed in
the dishwasher frequently. This is caused by
colourants in foods like tomato sauce. The
discolouration is no cause for concern.
Rinse button
Before switching the machine off for any length of
time, the pipework, brew unit and spouts need to be
cleaned to remove any residual coffee. Place a
suitable container under the spouts.
