Disabling the USB receptacle on the side
terminal panel
You can connect a USB drive or other USB device to the USB receptacle on the side terminal panel
of your interactive flat panel, and then access the device from the room computer. For more
information, see Using the USB receptacle on page 47.
You can also disable this USB receptacle so that it doesn’t access any of the computers connected
to your interactive flat panel.
C AU TION
Disconnect the power supply for your interactive flat panel before you disable the USB receptacle.
g To disable the USB receptacle
1.
Locate the oval cut-out onthe back of your interactive flat panel. It’s at the same height as the
USB receptacle and very close to the receptacle.
2.
Rotate the top of the cut-out using needle-nose pliers, and then grasp the bottom edge of the
cut-out with the pliers.
3. Pry the cut-out away from your interactive flat panel.
You can see a black jumper on the circuit board inside the panel.
4. Pull the black jumper off of the circuit board with the pliers.
C AU TION
To prevent damage to the circuit board, do not touch the circuit board with the pliers.
I MP OR TA N T
You can install the jumper again to enable the USB receptacle.
