With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected
without contacting Miele.
If you then can't remedy the problem yourself, please call the Miele Customer
Contact Centre (see back cover for details).

On no account open the appliance casing!
Installation, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by a suitably
qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current national and
local safety regulations.
Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work. Ensure current is not
supplied until after maintenance or repair work has been carried out.
Problem Possible cause and remedy
The display is dark. Check whether the time of day display is set so that it
does not show in the display (see "Settings - time of day
display").
Check to see if the mains fuse has tripped. If it has, call
the Miele Customer Contact Centre for help.
Check that the appliance is plugged into the mains
supply and switched on at the socket.
A programme will not
start
Check that, if using a programme with microwave, the
door is shut properly.
Check that a power level and duration have been
entered if operating in microwave mode .
Check that, if operating with a combination programme,
the following have been entered: a power level, a
duration for the microwave mode and a temperature for
the conventional oven operating mode.
If the door is opened
whilst the oven is
operating on
microwave solo, the
oven will stop making a
noise.
This is because the cooling fan switches off when the
door is opened. It does not indicate a fault.
