Defrosting
Your microwave oven automatically defrosts a
variety of common meats at preset Cook Powers
for preset times. The Auto Defrost Cycle is
programmed for meat, pouftry and fish. All you do
is select the desired category and enter the
weight of the items being heated. Your micro-
wave oven does the rest.

Put food in the oven and close the door.
Touch AUTO DEFROST. The AUTO DE-
FROST, ENTER WEIGHT and ENTER
CATEGORY Indicators will flash.
Touch AUTO DEFROST again 2-3 times to
select the food category. Each time you touch
AUTO DEFROST the Indicator will move
across the Display under the three food
categories (Meat, Poultry, Fish). Stop touching
AUTO DEFROST once the Indicator is under
the category you want.
Touch Number Pads for the weight of the item
to be defrosted.
Food weight must be entered in pounds
and tenths of pounds. (See ‘Weight conver-
sion chart” on page 19.) If the weight is not
entered within three seconds after choosing
the food category, the ENTER WEIGHT
Indicator will flash in the Display as a re-
minder. If entered weight is beyond the
minimum and maximum acceptable weights
for each category, a tone will sound. (See
“Minimum and maximum weights for each
food category” chart on page 19.)
Touch START.
The oven will start to defrost for the
preprogrammed time and the AUTO DE-
FROST Indicator will flash.
When the defrosting time ends, four tones
will sound and “END” will show in the Display.
