Miele CVA 6431 (C) Coffeemaker User Manual

Problem Possible cause and remedy
Drinks are not
dispensed, even
though there are
coffee capsules in
the capsule
carousel and there
is enough water in
the water container.
The water container is not positioned correctly inside the
machine.
^
Remove the water container and replace it.
A coffee capsule has jammed in the capsule carousel.
^
Open the front of the coffee machine.
^
Pull the carousel runners out, lift the capsule carousel
upwards and release the coffee capsules so that they
can move without hindrance.
^
Replace the capsule carousel on its runners, and push
the runners as far as they will go into the machine. Close
the front.
While carrying out
the procedure for
changing the
portion size
(programming the
amount of water
used for a drink),
the drink stops
being dispensed.
The maximum possible water quantity was reached.
Preparation is halted and the maximum portion size
possible will be saved.
There is insufficient water in the water container. The
process for changing the portion size will be cancelled and
the portion size will not be saved.
^ Remove the water container, fill and replace it and carry
out the procedure for changing the portion size again.
The descaling
programme was
started by mistake.
The descaling process cannot be cancelled once you have
touched the OK sensor.
The process has to be carried through to the end. This is a
safety measure to ensure that the machine is fully
descaled, and is important for the long-term protection of
the machine and to ensure it functions correctly.
^
Descale the coffee machine (see "Descaling").
