Problem Possible cause and remedy
The coffee machine
does not switch
itself on, although
the "Switch on at"
setting has been
activated for the
timer.
The system lock is activated.

Deactivate the system lock (see "Settings - System lock").
The day of the week has not been selected.
^
Check the timer settings and change these if necessary
(see "Settings - Timer").
The machine was not used after being switched on
automatically 3 times in succession.
^
Switch the machine on and make a drink.
You cannot read
the display.
The display brightness has been set too low.
^ Adjust the brightness (see "Settings - Display brightness")
The machine front
will not open or
close.
The steam valve is not closed and is not in the upper
position.
^ Push the steam valve right down and then push it
upwards as far as it will go.
The hinges are not aligned correctly.
^ Adjust the hinges (see "Installation - Adjusting the
hinges").
The machine does
not rinse when it is
switched on.
If the coffee machine still has an operating temperature
higher than 60 °C , then rinsing will not take place.
The date and time
of day must be
reset.
If the coffee machine is disconnected from the electrical
supply or in the case of a power cut, the date and time of
day will be saved for at least 3 days. After that, they must
be reset. Timer settings are not lost.
Coffee preparation
is interrupted.
A double portion was selected.
The machine uses two capsules for double portions.
However, if only one capsule of the selected capsule type
remains in the capsule carousel, preparation is interrupted.

Replenish the coffee capsules.
