Problem Possible cause and remedy
The coffee machine
does not switch
itself on, although
the "Switch on at"
setting has been
activated for the
timer.
The system lock is activated.
^
Deactivate the system lock (see "Settings - System lock").
The day of the week has not been selected.
^
Check the timer settings and change these if necessary
(see "Settings - Timer").
The machine was not used after being switched on
automatically 3 times in succession.
^
Switch the machine on and make a drink.
You cannot read
the display.
The display brightness has been set too low.
^ Adjust the brightness (see "Settings - Display brightness")
The machine front
will not open or
close.
The steam valve is not closed and is not in the upper
position.
^ Push the steam valve right down and then push it
upwards as far as it will go.
The hinges are not aligned correctly.
^ Adjust the hinges (see "Installation - Adjusting the
hinges").
The machine does
not rinse when it is
switched on.
If the coffee machine still has an operating temperature
higher than 60 °C , then rinsing will not take place.
The date and time
of day must be
reset.
If the coffee machine is disconnected from the electrical
supply or in the case of a power cut, the date and time of
day will be saved for at least 3 days. After that, they must
be reset. Timer settings are not lost.
Coffee preparation
is interrupted.
A double portion was selected.
The machine uses two capsules for double portions.
However, if only one capsule of the selected capsule type
remains in the capsule carousel, preparation is interrupted.
^
Replenish the coffee capsules.
