Unsatisfactory results
Problem Possible cause and remedy
Coffee residue is
left behind in the
coffee cups.
The capsule plate is dirty.

Clean the capsule plate (see "Cleaning and care").
The coffee is not
hot enough.
The cup has not been pre-heated.
Pre-heat the cups, e.g. with hot water.
The smaller and thicker the cup, the more important it is to
pre-heat it.
The coffee is
weak.
Too much water was saved as the portion size for the type
of coffee capsule used.
^ Change the portion size (see "Changing the portion size").
The preparation
time and colour of
the coffee varies.
The preparation time, colour and taste of the coffee will vary
depending on the type of coffee capsule and the type of
drink selected (espresso, coffee and long coffee). This is not
a fault.
^ Please follow the recommendations for the individual
capsule types (see packaging for more details).
There is residual
water in the waste
container.
The water is left over from the brewing and cleaning
process. This is not a fault.
The heating-up
time is getting
longer, the amount
of water being
dispensed is no
longer correct and
the coffee
machine is not
performing
properly.
The coffee machine need to be descaled.
