5.4 Troubleshooting the Auto Intermittent Filtration (AIF)
5.4.1 Incomplete AIF (Filter Error)
Should the AIF procedure fail for any reason after the filter pad was changed a signal is generated
telling the computer that something is wrong. Use the chart on page 5-6 to clear the error.
The computer displays FILTER ERROR for ten seconds then displays FILL POT FROM
DRAIN PAN.
1. With fill pot from drain pan displayed, press the 9 (1
yes) to continue (see Figure 4).
Computer displays a countdown timer while the pump is running.
Computer displays is pot filled alternating with yes no.

2. Press 9 (1 yes) if the vat is full (see Figure 5) and the computer
displays CHANGE FILTER PAD. Skip to Section 5.4.2
CHANGE FILTER PAD. If the pot is not filled completely continue to
step three.

3. Press 8 (2 NO) (see Figure 6) if pot is not filled completely.
The pump runs again.
Computer displays a countdown timer while the pump is running.
Computer displays is pot filled alternating with yes no again.

4. Press 9 (1 yes) if the vat is full (see Figure 7) and the computer
displays CHANGE FILTER PAD. Skip to Section 5.4.2
CHANGE FILTER PAD. If the pot is not filled completely continue to
step five.

5. Press 8 (2 NO) (see Figure 8) if pot is not filled completely.
The pump runs again.
Computer displays a countdown timer while the pump is running.
Computer displays is pot filled alternating with yes no again.

If NO is chosen a third time (see Figure 9), the computer displays
SERVICE REQUIRED. The fryer is disabled. Call your FASC to
repair and reset the computer.
