Miele DG 1050 Oven User Manual

Protection from burning and
scalding
The appliance must be positioned
so that you can see the contents of
a cooking container placed on the top
runner. Otherwise you may risk scalding
or burning yourself with hot water and
food when taking containers out of the
oven.
The appliance, especially the
inside of the door and the area
around the ventilation outlet, becomes
extremely hot during use, and remains
hot for some time after switching off.
If the oven is still hot, steam will
escape when the door is opened.
Stand back away from the appliance
and wait until the steam has dissipated.
Take care when opening the door
not to spill any hot water that has
collected in the drip channel.
For added protection, it is
advisable to use heat-resistant pot
holders or gloves when using the
appliance. Do not let them get damp or
wet, as this causes heat to transfer
through the material more quickly with
the risk of scalding or burning yourself.
When putting cooking containers
or the condensate tray into the
oven or taking them out, take care not
to spill the contents. Avoid contact with
hot steam, and do not touch the hot
oven interior walls. Danger of burning
and scalding.
Take care not to tip the water
container when taking it out of the
appliance. Hot water can scald.
