TROUBLE SHOOTING
GENERAL:
PROBLEM -
LOOK FOR -
All burners and pilots in unit
will not turn on
Main gas supply to unit is “OFF”
All burners produce excessive
carbon deposits
Incorrect gas type supplied to unit
Incorrect supply pressure
Only some burners in a unit
produce excessive carbon
deposits
Incorrect orifices
Primary air not adjusted properly
Only some pilots produce
excessive carbon deposits
Pilot gas not adjusted properly
Incorrect pilot orifice
Top burner (not oven) will
not come on
Manual valve for top burner in “OFF” position
Pilot out
Top section pilot will not
stay ignited
Pilot gas not adjusted properly
Clogged orifice
Draft condition
Improper ventilation system
Air in gas line
OVEN:
PROBLEM - CHECK OR REPLACE -
Unit does not come on when
“Power Switch” is in the
“On” position
Motor will not run with
fan switch in any position
Power cord is plugged in
Main supply fuses
Unit power switch
Fan switch
Motor
Motor will not run in “Bake”
position but runs in ‘Cool”
position
Door switch actuator
Door switch
No spark at pilot Spark igniter
Wire to spark electrode broken or
disconnected
Spark present but standing;
pilot will not light

Unit gas line shutoff in closed position
Pilot line valve in closed position
