Miele PG 8083 SCVi Dishwasher User Manual

Items not recommended for
dishwashing:
Wooden cutlery and dishes or items
with wooden parts, as they may
discolour and fade. In addition, the
glue used in these items is not
dishwasher-proof. This may result in
wooden handles coming loose.
Hand-crafted items, antiques,
valuable vases and decorative
glassware are also not
dishwasher-proof.
Plastic items which are not heat
resistant may become deformed.
Copper, brass, tin and aluminium
items may discolour or become dull.
Colours painted over a glaze may
fade after a number of washes.
Fine glassware and crystal may
become cloudy over time.
We recommend:
When purchasing dishes and cutlery,
make sure they are dishwasher-safe.
Drinking glasses may become
cloudy over time. Fine glassware
should only be washed at low
temperatures (see "Program guide")
This reduces the risk of clouding.
Attention!
Silverware that was previously cleaned
with a silver polish may still be damp
or spotted at the end of a program
since the water does not run off
smoothly. Dry with a soft cloth.
Silver may discolour if it comes into
contact with foods that contain sulphur.
These include egg yolk, onions,
mayonnaise, mustard, legumes, fish,
fish brine and marinades.
,
Aluminum components (e.g.
grease filters) must not be washed
with caustic alkaline commercial or
industrial cleaning agents in the
commercial dishwasher. These may
damage the material. In extreme
cases they can cause a severe
explosive chemical reaction (such
as explosive hydrogen gas
reactions).
