Repeat steps 1 through 7 for the other side of the
freezer .
Disassembly
BE SURE THE POWER SWITCH IS IN THE
OFF POSITION. MAKE SURE NO LIGHTS ARE LIT
ON THE CONTROL PANEL.
Step 1
Remove the stud nuts, freezer door(s), beater (s),
scraper blades, and drive shaft( s) from the freezing
cylinder(s). Take these parts to the sink for cleaning.
Step 2
Remove the front drip tr ay and th e splash shield.
Brush Cleaning
Step 1
Prepare a sink with an approved cleaning solution
(examples: Kay- 5R or Stera- SheenR). USE WARM
W ATE R AND FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER’S
SPECIFICATIONS. If another approved cleaner is
used, dilute it according to the label instructions.
(IMPORTANT: Follow the label directions. Too
STRONG of a solution c an cause parts damage, while
too MILD of a solution will not prov ide adequate
cleaning.) Make sure all brushes provided with the
freezer are available for brush cleaning.
Step 2
Remove the seal(s) from the drive shaft(s).
Step 3
From the fr eezer door(s) remove:
S gasket(s)
S front bearing(s)
S pivot pin(s)
S adjustable draw handle(s)
S design cap(s)
S draw valve(s)
S prime p lug
Remove all o- rings .
Note: To remove o- rings, use a single service towel
to grasp the o- ring. Apply pressure in an upwar d
direction until the o- ring pops out of its groove. Wi th
the other hand, push the top of the o- ring forward and
it will roll out of the groove and can be easily removed.
If thereis more than one o- ring to be removed, always
remove the rear o- ring first. This will allow the o- ring
to slide over the forward rings without falling into the
open grooves.
Step 4
Remove the o- rings from the air tube and air orifice
(soft serve only).
Step 5
Return to the fr eezer with a small amount of cleaning
solution. Brush clean the rear shell bearing(s) at the
back of the freezing cylinder(s) with the black brist le
brush.

Step 6
Remove th e rear drip pan(s) and take to the sink for
cleaning.
Note: If the drip pan isfilled withan excessiveamount
of mix, refer to the Troubleshooting Guide.
Step 7
Thoroughly brush clean all disassembled parts in the
cleaning solution making sureall lubricant and mix film
is removed. Take particular care to brush clean the
draw valve core(s) in the fr eezer door. Place all the
cleaned parts on a clean, dry surface to air dry
overnight.
Step 8
Wipe clean all exterior surfaces of the freezer.
