The Continuous-CleaningOven cleansitselfwhile
tooting. Theovenwallsarefinishedwitha special
coatingthatcannotbecleanedin theusualmannerwith
soap,detergents,steelwoolpads,commercialoven
cleaners,coarseabrasivepadsorcoarsebrushes.Useof
suchcleansersand/ortheuseof ovensprayswillcause
permanentdarnage.
The specialcoating isa porous ceramic material,
whichis darkin colorandfeelsslightlyroughto the
touch.If magnified,thesurfacewouldappearaspeaks,
valleysandsub-stiace “tunnels.”Thisroughfinish
tendsto preventgreasespattersfromforminglittle
beadsor dropletsthatrundownthe sidewallsof a
‘hard-surfaceovenliner,leavingunsightlystreaksthat
requirehandcleaning.Instead,whenspatterhitsthe
porousfinish,it is dispersedandpartiallyabsorbed.
Thisspreadingactionincreasestheexposureof oven
soilto heatedairandmakesit somewhatlessnoticeable.
Sotimay notdisappearcompletelyandat sometime
afterextendedusage,stainsmayappearthatcannot
beremoved.
The specialcoating works best on small arnounk of
spatter. It doesnotworkwellwithlargerspills,
especiallysugars,eggor dairymixtures.
This specialcoating is not used OXIovenshelves,
oven bottom or door liner.Removetheseto clean
witha commercialovencleanerto preventdamaging
theContinuous-CleaningOvencoating.

1.Letrangepartscoolbeforehandling.Werecommend
rubberglovesbe wornwhencleaning.
2. Removeshelvesandcookware.
3. Soilvisibilitymaybe reducedby operatingtheoven
at400”F.Closethe doorandturnOVENCONTROL
knobto 400”F.Timefor atleastfourhours.Repeated
cyclesmaybe necessarybeforeimprovementin
appearanceis apparent.
Remember: During the operation of the oven,the
door and other range surfaces willget hot enough to
causeburns. Donot touch. Let the range coolbefore
replacing ovenshelves.
~.If a spilloveror heavysoilingoccursontheporous
surface,as soonas theovenhas cooled,removeas
muchof thesoilas possibleusinga smallamountof
wateranda stiff-bristlenylonbrush.Use water
sparinglyandchangeit frequently,keepingit as
cleanaspossible,andbe sureto blotit up withpaper
towels,clothsor sponges.Donotrub or scrubwith
papertowels,clothsor sponges,sincetheywillleave
unsightlylinton theovenfinish.If waterleavesa
whitering on thefinishasit dries,applywateragain
andblotit witha cleansponge,startingat theedge
of thering andworkingtowardthecenter.
The ovenbottom and the inside ofthe ovendoor
have a porcelain enamel finish. Theovendoorlifts
offandthe ovenbottomcomesoutfor cleaningaway
fromtheContinuous-CleaningOven.
Do not use soap, detergent, steel woolpads,
commercial ovencleaner,siliconeovensprays,
coarse pads or coarse brushes on the porous
surface. Theseproductswillspot,cloganddarnage
theporoussurfaceandreduceits abilityto work.
Donotscrapetheporous surfacewitha Imifeor
spatia— theycouldpermanentlydamagethefinish.
