Yourrange is designed to operate at a pressure

for LP gas (propane or butane), 10”ofwater
column. Make sure you are supplyingyour range
withthe typeofgas forwhich itis designed.This
range is convertibleforuse on naturalor propane
gas, ifyou decideto use MISrange on a different
typeofgas,conversionadjustmentsmustbe made
bya servicetechnicianorotherqua~ed person
beforeattemptingto operatetie rangeonthatgas.
Forproperoperation,the pressureofnaturalgas
suppliedtothe regulatormustbe between4“and
lY’ofwatercolumn.ForLPgas,the pressure
supptiedmustbe between10”and13”ofwater
column.Whencheckingforproperoperationof
the regulator,tie inletpressuremustbeat least
v greaterthantheoperatig (manMold)pressure
as givenabove.The pressureregulatorlocated
atthe inletofthe rangemanifoldmustremti in
the supplylineregardlessofwhethernaturalor
LPgas isbeingused.Aflexiblemetalappliance
connectorusedto connectthe rangeto thegas
supplylineshouldhavean I.D.of1/2”andbe
5feetinlength (shorterandlongerlengthsare
acceptable)forease ofinstallation.InCanada,
flexibleconnectorsmustbe singlewallmetal
connectorsnolongerthan 6feetinlength,

Shutoffthe maingassupplyvalvebefore
disconnectingthe oldrangeandleaveit offuntil
newhook-uphasbeencompleted.Don’tforget
to retightthepilotonothergas applianceswhen
youturn the gas backon.
Becausehard pipingrestrictsmovementofthe
range,the use ofanA.G.A-certied flexible
metalapplianceconnectoris recommended
unlesslocalcodesrequirea hard-piped
connection.Neverusean oldconnectorwhen
installinga newrange.Hthe hard pipingmethod
is used,youmustcarefullyalignthe pipe;the
rangecannotbe movedafterthe connection
is made.
Topreventgas leaks,putpipejointcompound
on,or wrappipethreadtapewithTeflon*
around,allmale (external)pipethreads.
