Section 6 Operating Procedures
The Model H63 has a one 7 quart ( 6.6 liter) freezing
cylinder. This automatic freezer offers one flavor .
We begin our instructions at the point where we enter
the sto re in the morning and find the parts
disassembled and laid out to air dry from the previous
night’s brush cleaning.
These opening procedures will s how you how to
assemble these parts into t he freezer, sanitize them,
and pr ime t he fr eezer with fresh mix in preparation to
serve your first shake.
If you are disassembling the machine for the first time
or need information to get to this starting point in our
instructions, turn to page 27, “Disassembly” , and start
there.
Assembly
Note: When lubricating parts, use an approved food
grade lubricant (example: Taylor Lube HP ).
MAKE SURE THE POWER SWITCH IS IN
THE OFF POSITION! Failure to do so may cause
injury from hazardous moving parts, or electrocution.
Be certain your hands are sanit ized before
assembling the freezer.
Step 1
Lubricate the groov e and shaft portion of the beater
drive shaft . Slide the seal over th e shaft and groove
until it snaps into place. DO NOT lubricate the hex end
of the drive shaft. Fill the i nside portion of the seal with
1/4” more lubricant. Lubricate the flat side of the seal
that comes in contact with the bearing.

Note: Make sure t he seal is not installed inside--out .
The ridge that protrudes in the center ofthe sealshould
be on the outside.
Install the drive shaft. Insert the drive shaft into the
freezing cylinder, hex end first, and int o the rear shell
bearing until the seal fits s ecurely over the rear shell
bearing. Be certain the drive shaf t fits into the driv e
coupling without binding.
