RECIPES USING THE JUICER AND BLENDER - SMOOTHIES
FRUIT SALAD SMOOTHIE
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
2 oranges, peel and pith removed, cut in half
1lb (500g), cubed watermelon, rind and
seeds removed
8oz (250g), cubed cantaloupe
1 kiwi fruit, peeled and cut in half
16 seedless green grapes
4 ripe strawberries, hulled
6 ice cubes
METHOD
1. Using the juicer attachment, feed the
oranges, watermelon, cantaloupe, kiwi
fruit and grapes through the juice
extractor’s feed tube.
2. Using the blender attachment, process
the mixed fruit juice, strawberries
and ice for about 1 minute on the
SMOOTHIE setting or until mixture is
smooth.
3. Pour the smoothie evenly into 4 chilled
glasses. Serve immediately.
PINEAPPLE AND MANGO SHAKE
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
8oz (250g) pineapple chunks
2 oranges, peel and pith removed, cut in half
1 large ripe mango (about 12oz/375g),
peeled, stoned and cubed
½ ripe banana, peeled and cut in pieces
½ cup (4 fl oz/125ml) milk or soy milk
6 ice cubes
METHOD
1. Using the juicer attachment, feed the
pineapple chunks and oranges through
the juice extractor’s feed tube.
2. Using the blender attachment,
process the pineapple/orange juice,
mango, milk, banana and ice cubes for
about 1 minute on the SMOOTHIE
setting or until mixture is smooth.
3. Pour the shake evenly into 4 chilled
glasses. Serve immediately.
