5 Maintenance
Use of maintenance products that are harmful to health and
discharge of liquids during maintenance program. Harmful if
swallowed. Irritating to eyes and skin.
T Keep children AWAY.
T Keep children away from the machine while it is performing a
maintenance program.
T Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
T Avoid generation of dust. Do not inhale dust.
T When using do not eat or drink.
T Keep maintenance products away from food, drink and ani-
mal food.
T Keep container tightly closed and dry. Keep in a cool place.
Your IMPRESSA has the following integrated maintenance
programs:

Rinsing the machine (‘Rinse the coffee system’)
U
Rinsing the cappuccino frother (‘Rinse the milk system’)
U
Cleaning the cappuccino frother (‘Clean the milk system’)
U
Changing the filter (‘Change the filter’)
U
Cleaning the machine (‘Clean’)
U
Descaling the machine (‘Descale’) (only if filter is not
activated)
E Clean or descale the machine, rinse the milk system or change
the filter when you are prompted to do so.
E Press the P button to view a list of the maintenance programs
(
‘Maintenance status(1/7)’). By referring to the bar you can
see which maintenance program is due. When the bar is
completely filled with red, your IMPRESSA will prompt you to
perform the appropriate maintenance program.
E Your IMPRESSA will not prompt you to clean the cappuccino
frother. In the interests of hygiene, you should clean the
cappuccino frother daily when you have been preparing milk.
J WARNING
