8 Transport and environmentally friendly disposal
Keep the packaging for your IMPRESSA. It should be used to protect
the machine during transport.
In order to protect the IMPRESSA from frost during transport, the
system must be emptied.
Precondition:
‘Please select product:’ is displayed.
T Carefully pull the cappuccino frother down and off.
T Place one receptacle under the connector of the cappuccino
frother and another under the hot-water spout.
O T Press the P button.
‘Maintenance status(1/7)’
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until the program item ‘Machine
settings(4/7)’
is displayed.
T Press the
‘Factory setting’ button.

T Press the ‘Empty system’ button.
‘Remove the water tank.’
T Remove and empty the water tank.
‘Press the Rotary Switch.’, the Rotary Switch lights up.
k T Press the Rotary Switch.
‘System is emptying.’, a small amount of water flows out of
the connector of the cappuccino frother and the hot-water
spout.
The operation stops automatically. Your IMPRESSA then
switches off.
Please dispose of old machines in an environmentally neutral way.
