Use the
∆∇ keys to choose between % or ppm units. Then press
Enter
to
move to the next screen.
AL1: 1ØØØ p p m H I
Dft:N Fs:N Ltch:N
Five parameters can be changed on this screen:
Value of the alarm setpoint, AL1: ####
Out-of-range direction, HI or LO
Defeated? Dft:Y/N (Yes/No)
Failsafe? Fs:Y/N (Yes/No)
Latching? Ltch:Y/N (Yes/No).
To define the setpoint, use the < > arrow keys to move the
blinking over to AL1: ####. Then use the ∆∇ arrow keys to
change the number. Holding down the key speeds up the
incrementing or decrementing.
To set the other parameters use the < > arrow keys to move the
blinking over to the desired parameter. Then use the ∆∇ arrow
keys to change the parameter.
Once the parameters for alarm 1 have been set, press
Alarms
again, and repeat this procedure for alarm 2 (AL2).
To reset a latched alarm, go to Dft and then press either two
times or two times. (Toggle it to Y and then back to N.)
–OR –
Go to Ltch and then press either two times or two times.
(Toggle it to N and back to Y.)
4.6 The
Range
Select Function
The
Range
function allows you to manually select the concentration range
of analysis (MANUAL), or to select automatic range switching (AUTO).
In the MANUAL screen, you are further allowed to define the high and low
(concentration) limits of each Range, and select a single, fixed range to run.
CAUTION: If this is a linearized application, the new range must
be within the limits previously programmed using the
System function, if linearization is to apply through-
out the range. Furthermore, if the limits are too small
a part (approx 10 % or less) of the originally linear-
ized range, the linearization will be compromised.
