DESCALING
ENSURE THAT THE DESCALING PRODUCT IS
SUITABLE FOR COFFEE MACHINES.
If you live in a hard water area, we recommend descaling
your coffee machine at regular intervals, at least monthly.
In areas with moderately hard water, you should descale
every other month.
You will know your machine needs descaling if water
passes through the filter holes more slowly than usual or
the volume of steam is reduced.
In extreme cases no water will flow due to scale build up,
avoid this by descaling regularly.
Only use a descaler recommended for coffee machines
and plastic containers. These are available in most
supermarkets or through coffee machine stockists.
Follow the instructions on the pack.
1. Fill the water tank (11) with the descaling solution.
2. Operate the appliance, as if making coffee and
steaming until the tank is empty.
3. Rinse the water tank and fill with water.
4. Operate as if making coffee and flush the contents of
three water tanks through the machine. This will
remove any traces of the descaling solution.
NOTE: This operation may be hazardous if other
substances are used. Only use descaling products
recommended for household coffee makers.
Product failure due to the build-up of limescale is not
covered by warranty.
