Step 2
Lubricate the inside diameter of the drive shaft seal.
Install t he drive shaft seal bushing in the drive shaft
seal.

Note: The drive shaft bushing must be positioned in
the center of the drive shaft seal.
Step 3
Slide the seal and bushing over the shaft and groove
until it snaps into place. F ill the inside portion of the
seal with more lubricant and evenly lubricate t he end
of the seal that fits onto the rear shell bearing.

Step 4
Insert the beater drive shaft into the freezing
cylinder, hex end first, and into the rear shell bearing
until the seal fits securely ov er the rear shell bearing.
Be c ertain the drive shaft fits into the drive coupling
without binding. Rem ove any excess lubricant from
the seal.

Step 5
Install t he beater assembly. First check the scraper
blades for any nicks or signs of wear. If any nicks
are present or if the blade is worn, replace both
blades. If the blades are in good condition, plac e the
scraper blades over the holding pins on the beater.
Note: Each hole on the scraper blade must fit
securely over each pin.
