Mom’s Potato Cheese Casserole
Au Gratin Potatoes

Tips: Place in casserole dish. Use rack position 2.

This function is best used for: Homemade Au Gratin casseroles with either sliced potatoes, shredded or cubed potatoes
(fresh or frozen). A metal, ceramic or glass casserole dish may be used.
2 (32 ounce) bags frozen hash brown potatoes
1 chopped onion
1 cup butter, melted
2 cans (15 ounce each) cream of chicken soup
Salt and pepper, to taste
TOPPING
2 cups corn flakes, crushed

cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350˚. In a large mixing bowl, combine potatoes, onion, 1 cup butter, and 2 cans of cream of chicken soup. Season
with salt and pepper. Pour into 9 x 13" casserole dish. In a small bowl, combine corn flakes,

⁄2 cup melted butter, and shredded
cheddar cheese. Sprinkle on top of potatoes in casserole dish. Place in oven and set timer for 20 minutes, or until topping is golden
and filling is bubbly-hot.
Serves 6.
