1.Removeallcookwareandanyaluminumfoil from
the oven—theycannotwithstandthe highcleaning
temperatures.

3. Cleanspattersor spillson theovenfrontframe,
and theovendooroutsidethegasketwitha
dampenedcloth.Theovenfrontframeandthe
ovendooroutsidethegasketdo notgetcleanedby
the self-cleancycle.On theseareasuse detergent
andhotwateror a soap-filledsteelwoolpad.Rinse
wellwitha vinegarandwatersolution.Thiswill
helppreventa brownresiduefromformingwhen
theovenis heated.Bufftheseareaswith a dry
cloth.Do notcleanthegasket.
Do not useabrasivesor ovencleaners.Clean
thetop, sidesandoutsidefrontofthe ovendoor
withsoapandwater.
Makesuretheovenlightbulbcoveris in place.
Do not rubor cleanthe doorgasket—
thefiberglassmaterialof thegaskethas an
extremelylowresistanceto abrasion.An intactand
well-fittingovendoorgasketis essentialfor
energy-efficientovenoperationandgoodbaking
results.If younoticethe gasketbecomingworn,
frayedor damagedin anywayor if it has become
displacedon thedoor,youshouldhaveit replaced.
4. Closethe doorandmakesuretheovenlightis off.
If theovenlightis notturnedoff,thelifeofthebulb
will be shortenedor it maybum outimmediately.
Do notuse commercialovencleanersor oven
protectorsin ornearthe self-cleaningoven.
A combinationof anyof theseproductsplusthehigh
cleancycletemperaturesmaydamagetheporcelain
finishof theoven.
