RadiantModul*Glass CeramicCooktop Cleaning
Cleaningofglassceramiccooktopmodulesis
differentfromcleaninga standardporcelainfinish.
Tomaintainandprotectthe surfaceof yournewglass
ceramicmodulefollowthesebasicsteps.
Beforeyouusethemodulefor thefirsttime,clean
it withCookTopCleaningCreme.Thishelpsprotect
thetop andmakescleaningeasier.
DAILYCLEANING:Use only CookTop Cleaning
Creme on Glass Ceramic.
For normal, light soil:
1.Rubafewdrops(lessisbetter)ofCookTopCleaning
Cremeontothesoiledareausinga damppapertowel.
Wipeuntilallsoilandcremeareremoved.Frequent
cleaningleavesaprotectivecoatingwhichisessential
inpreventingscratchesandabrasions.
2. Cleanthe surfacewithCookTopCleaningCreme
aftereachuse.
For heavy,burned on soil:
1.Applya few dropsof CookTopCleaningCreme
to the (cool)soiledarea.
2. Usinga damppapertowel,rub cremeintothe
burnedon area.Aswithanyburnedon spill,this
mayrequiresomeeffort.
3. Carefullyscraperemainingsoilwiththerazor
scraper.Holdthescraperata 30°angleagainstthe
ceramicsurface.
4. If anysoilremains,repeatthe stepslistedabove.
For additionalprotection,afterallsoilhasbeen
removed,polishtheentiresurfacewiththeCook
TopCleaningCreme.
5. Buffwitha drypapertowel.
NOTE:
Usinga razorscraperwillnotdamagethe surface
if the 30°angleis maintained.
Be sureto usea new,sharprazorscraper.
Do notusea dullor nickedblade.
Store the razor scraper out of reach of ch]ldren.
PRECAUTIONS
Mostcleanerscontainarnmoni~chemicalsandabrasives
whichcandamagethesurfaceof yourmodule.Use
ody the Cook TopCleaning Creme for proper
cleaningand protectionofyour~ass ceramicsurface.
If you slidealuminum or copper cookwareacross
thesurfaceof yourmodule,theymay leavemeti
markings which appear as scratches. If this should
happen,usetherazorscraperandCleaningCremeto
removethesemarkings.Failureto removethese
residuesimmediatelymayleavepermanentmarks.
Waterstains(rninerddeposits)areremovableusing
CookTopCleaningCremeorml strengthwhitevinegar.
SpecialCare:
Sugaryspillovers(suchasjellies,fudge,candy
syrups)or melted plastics cancausepittingofthe
surfaceof yourmodule(notcoveredby thewarranty)
unlessthe spillis removedwhilestillhot.Special
care should be takenwhenremovinghot
substances.Followtheseinstructionscarefullyand
removethesoilwhilethe spillis stillhot.
1.Turnoff allthesurfaceunitsaffectedby the
spillover.Removehotpans.
2. Wearingan ovenmitt,holdtherazor \

scraperat a 30°~gle to themodule –~ .~<:~’
and scrapethehotspillto a coolarea-
outsidethesurfaceunit.
3.Withthespillin acoolarea,usea drypapertowelto
removeanyexcess.Anyspilloverremainingshould
beleftuntilthesurfaceofthemodulehascooled.
Donotcontinuetousethesoiledsurfaceunituntildl
ofthespilloverhasbeenremoved.Followthesteps
underHeavySoiltocontinuethecleaningprocess.
General Information:
Asthe CookTopCleaningCremecleans,it
leavesa protectivecoatingon themodulesurface.
Thiscoatinghelpsto preventbuild-upofmineral
deposits(waterspots)and willmakefuturecleaning
easier.Dishwashingdetergentsremovethisprotective
coatingandthereforemakethemodulemore
susceptibleto staining.

If potswith a thinoverlayof aluminum,copper,or
enamel are allowedto boildry,the overlaymay bond
with the glassceramicand leave ablack discoloration.
This shouldbe removedimmediatelybefore heating
againor the discolorationmay be permanent.
Use of window cleaner may leave an iridescent
film on the module. Cook Top Cleaning Creme will
remove this discoloration.
