Your newcooktopburnershavebeenpresetfor an"average"set ofconditions.Regional
variancesingas pressureand atmosphericconditionssuchas heightabovesea level
mayaffectyour initialflame performance.
Whenthecontrolknob isturnedon,gasentemthe mixertubeand mixeswithair. This
airandgas mixtureflowsto theburnerheadandislightedby asparkfromthe solidstate
igniter.
A properlyadjustedburnerwithcleanportswilllightwithina few seconds. The cone-
shapedflame willbe clearblueincolorwitha clearlydefinedinnercone. There should
be notraceof yellowin the flame. A yellowflame indicatesan impropermixtureofair
andgas. Ifyourflamedoes notresemblethe"correct"flame asdescribedabove,follow
the air shutteradjustmentinstructionsbelow.
The infinitesurfacecontrolsfor thesurface burnersandgrillburnerprovideflexibilityin
settingselection.
Note; The grillcan be replacedwithan optionalsurfaceburnermodule,ModelAG202.
Surface Burners
In caseof prolongedpowerfailure,you canmanuallylightthe sutraceburnerby holding
a lightedmatchneartheburnerportsandslowlytumingthecontrolknobcounterclockwise
(afterdepressing)untilthe gasignites. Thereisnofanso smokeandcondensationcan
gather.
