TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

BEFORE SERVICING, UNLESS TESTING REQUIRES IT.

PROBLEMS POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTION
1. Burners wil not ignite
"SPARK" at top burner
ignitors.
A. Burner orifice, burner cap or
burner ignition ports
clogged.
Poor ground on burner cap.
Weak spark module.
Low gas pressure.
A. Clean burner orifice, or ign
Clean burner cap.
Replace spark module.
Check pressure (6" WCP
for LP).
2. Burner will not ignite.
No "SPARK" to burner
ignitors. Burner knob
pushed down and held in
"LIGHT" position.
A. No 120 VAC to range.
Micro Switch contacts not
closing.
Faulty wiring. Bad
connection at burner cap

socket.
Inoperative spark module.
