BERRY COMPOTE WITH VANILLA
SAUCE
Rødgrød med vanilie sovs
Total cooking time: approx. 8-11 minutes

Ingredients
150 g Redcurrants, washed and sorted
150 g Strawberries, washed and sorted
150 g Raspberries, washed and sorted
250 ml White wine
100 g Sugar
50 ml Lemon juice
8 Sheet of jelly
300 ml Condensed milk,

vanilla pod
30 g Sugar
15 g Cornflour
Tip: Iced cream or yoghurt also tastes very good with
berry compote.
1. Keep some fruit as a garnish. Puree the remaining
berries with the white wine, add to the dish and heat
while covered.

Let the sugar and lemon juice break down.
2. Soak the jelly in cold water for approx. 10 minutes,
then take out and squash. Stir the jelly into the hot fruit
puree until it has dissolved. Put the compote in the
refrigerator and allow to set.
3. To make the vanilla sauce, put the milk into a dish.
Cut the vanilla pod and scrape out the paste. Stir the
vanilla paste, sugar and cornflour into the milk and
cook while covered. Stir again once during the
process and at the end.

4. Pour the compote on a plate and garnish with the
complete fruits. Add the vanilla sauce.

Dish: Round baking dish (diameter approx. 26 cm)

300 g Flour
1 tbsp Cocoa
3 tsp Baking powder (9 g)
150 g Sugar
1 Egg
150 g Butter or margarine
1 tsp Butter or margarine to grease the baking

100 g Butter or margarine
100 g Sugar
1 Pack of vanilla sugar (10g)
3 Eggs
400 g Quark, 20 % fat content
1 Pack of vanilla pudding powder (40 g)
1. Mix flour with baking powder. Add sugar, the egg and
butter and stir with the manual blender’s kneader.

of the dough and
press onto the floor. Raise a 2 cm edge and
prebake the dough.

3. To make the filling, stir the butter with the manual
blender’s whisk until fluffy, add sugar and mix in the
egg gradually. Finally mix in the quark and pudding
powder.
4. Spread the quark on the precooked dough, spread
the remaining dough crumbs on the cake and bake.
