Symbol Definitions
To better communic ate in the International arena, the
words on many of our operat or switc hes and buttons
have symbols to indicate their functions. Your Taylor
equipment is designed with these International
symbols.
The following c hart i dentifies the symbol definitions
used on the operator s witches.
=ON/AUTO
=OFF
= WASH
=PUMP
=MIXLOW
= MIX OUT
Power Switch
When placed in the ON position, the power switch
allows “ SOFTE CH” control panel operation.
Reset Mechanism
The reset button is located in the upper, left corner of
the decorative plate. The reset protects the beater
motor from an overload condition. Should an overload
occur, the reset m echanism will trip. To properly reset
the freezer, turn the power switch to the OF F position.
Press the reset button firmly. Place the power switch
in the ON position. Pres s the WASH keypad and
observe the fr eezer’s performance. Open the side
access panel t o check if thebeater motor is turning the
drive shaft in a clockwise (from operator end) direction
without binding.
If the drive shaft is turning properly, press the WASH
keypad to cancel t he cycle. Press the AUTO keypad
to resume normal operation. If the r eset mechanism
should trip again, cont act your authorized Taylor
Distributor to resolve the problem.
Indicator Lights -
Mix Low and Mix Ou t
When the MIX LOW light begins to flash, it indicates
that the mix tank has a low supply of mix and should
be refilled as soon as possible. When the MIX OUT
light begins to flash, it indicates that the mix tank has
an insufficient supply of mix to operate the freezer. At
this time, the AUTO mode is locked out and the freezer
shuts down. To initiate the refrigeration system, add
mix to the tank and press the AUTO keypad. Th e
freezer will automatically begin operation.
Mix
When the MIX keypad is pres sed, the light comes on,
indicating that the mix cabinet refrigeration system is
operating. The mix refr igeration is cont rolled by the
MIX k eypad found on the control panel. By pressing
the AUT O keypad, the MI X function is automatically
turned on. Th e MIX function cannot be cancelled
unless the AUTO mode is cancelled.
Wash
When the WASH keypad is pressed, the light comes
on, indicating beater motor operation. The AUTO
mode must be cancelled first to ac tivate the WASH
mode.
