Model PH61Operating Procedures
Note: To ensure that the mix does not leak out of
the back of the freezing cylinder, the middle section
of the boot seal should be convex or extend out from
the seal. If the middle section of the boot seal is
concave or extending into the middle of the seal,
turn the seal inside out. (See Figure 8.)

Step 2
Install the beater drive shaft through the rear shell
bearing in the freezing cylinder and engage the
square end firmly into the drive shaft coupling. Be
sure the drive shaft fits into the drive coupling
without binding. (See Figure 9.)

Step 3
Check scraper blades for any nicks or signs of wear.
If any nicks are present, replace the blades.
Note: Scraper blades should be replaced every 6
months.
Step 4
If blades are in good condition, place each scraper
blade over the holding pins on the beater assembly.
(See Figure 10.)

Note: The holes in the scraper blade must fit over
the pins to prevent damage.
Step 5
Hold the blades on the beater assembly. Insert the
back of the beater assembly into the freezing
cylinder and connect the drive hole with the drive
shaft. (See Figure 11.)

Note: When properly seated, the beater will not
protrude beyond the front of the freezing cylinder.
