CONFIGURING CLIENT SOFTWARE
You can upload the drivers to the controller. End users can
download the software to their computers (except for the Unix
filters, which require root privileges to install).
Uploading Software to the Controller
1On the
Administration tab, click the Maintenance submenu.
2Click the
Upload Software link.
3 Click the Language drop-down arrow and select the language
of the software to upload.
4Click
Browse and locate the specified files to upload.
5Click
Upload.
Installing Client Software
End users can install the software on their workstations from
TopAccess (except for the Unix filters). Additional instructions
are in the GL-1020 Operator’s Guide (Basic).
To install the client software on a workstation:
1Click the
Install Software link at the bottom of the screen.
2 Click the link for the type of software to install.
The options are Print Drivers, Unix Filters, Macintosh PPD
Files or Scan Driver.
3 Check the boxes of the software components to install.
4Click
Install.
Removing Software from the Controller
You can remove client software from the controller to free up
memory space.
1On the
Administration tab, click the Maintenance submenu.
2Click the
Remove Software link.
3 Check the boxes of the software to remove.
4Click
Delete.
