XDS remote source: enabling user authentication
For XDS Desktop Sharing client software, you can enable the user authentication option during installation or from the GUI. See
"Setting security authentication", pa ge 137.
Hence that particular source can only be launched using the credentials of the OS running on that source computer.
Howtolaunchalockedsource?
1. In expert view , double-click the locked s ource from the sources dock widget in the XDS Control Center GUI or select the source
from the drop-down list in compact view
You will be prompted to enter your credentials or your password.

2. Enter the user nam e and password of the remote desktop
Note: Make sure you enter a valid user name and password that exists in the domain of the remote computer
3. After authentication, an acceptance dialog will appear on the remote system

4. When the remote user acce pts the request, the source will automatically launch in the connected display system
