5.47 Steel and Aluminum Design

Section 5.47.1 discusses specification of the parameters that may
be used to control the design. Sections 5.47.2 and 5.47.3
describe the CODE CHECKING and MEMBER SELECTION
options respectively. Member Selection by optimization is
discussed in 5.47.4.
STAAD also provides facilities for Weld Design per the American
welding codes. Details may be found in sections 2.12 and 5.47.5 of
this manual.
