5.53.1 Definition of Wall Panels for Shear Wall
Design
Due to the presence of openings, three types of structural elements
may be defined within the boundaries of a shear wall: wall,
column, and beam. For each of those entities, a different set of
design and detailing rules applies. Users assign those types to
panels - functionally different parts of the shear wall. The
assignment is based on panel geometry, its position, and overall
wall configuration. Wall, column and beam panels are then
designed in accordance with relevant provisions of the code.

j - ordinal panel number,
ptype - panel type, one of: WALL, COLUMN,

x1 y1 z1 (...) - coordinates of the corners of the panel
