Removal
1. Remove the front frame from the spectrum analyzer as described in “Procedure 2. Al
Front Frame/Al8 CRT.”
2. Place the front frame face-down on the bench and remove the front frame center support.
3. Disconnect
AlWl
from
AlAlJ3
and the RPG cable from
AlAlJ2.
4. Remove the nine screws holding the
AlAl
keyboard assembly to the front frame and
remove the assembly.
5. Remove the rubber keypad.
Note
The front panel
softkey
actuators are part of the CRT bezel assembly and
are not replaceable. Should the softkeys become damaged, replace the bezel
assembly.
Replacement
1. Install the rubber keypad, ensuring that the screw holes are visible through the pad.
2. Place the
AlAl
keyboard assembly over the rubber keypad. Secure with nine
panhead
screws.
3. Connect the RPG cable to
AlAlJ2,
and
AlWl
to
AlAlJ3.
4. Secure the center support to the front frame using two
panhead
screws. The arrow
stamped on the center support should point to the top of the frame.
5. Install the front frame assembly as described in “Procedure 2.
Al Front Frame/Al8
CRT.”
