i. Check that the peaks fall within 2 minor divisions of each graticule line.
j. Press CTR-MEAS/TRKG.
k. Check that the right hand readout indicates approximately C1.000KHZ.
Use the following procedure to adjust the Variable Resolution and RF Option
Filters.
H Test equipment required:
100 MHz Signal Generator
1. Adjust 1 MHz Resolution Bandwidth (C561, C544, C522, and C416 on the
RF Options board) as follows:
a. Recall factory default power up settings by pressing UTIL 1 1.
b. Connect a 100 MHz signal to the RF INPUT.
c. Recall default amplitude normalizations by pressing UTIL5529Y.
Press any menu button to exit the menu.
d. Select the following settings on the Spectrum Analyzer:
FREQUENCY 100 MHz
REFERENCE LEVEL --20 dBm
SPAN/DIV 1 MHz
RESOLUTION BW 30 kHz
VIDEO FILTER Off
VERTICAL SCALE 10dB/Div
e. Save the display in one of the DISPLAY STORAGE registers.
f. Change the resolution bandwidth to 1 MHz.
